I used to think we only get one chance to be happy. Now I know that’s just not true.
Some people find eternal happiness when they’re very young. Others wait a long time to find happiness and fulfillment.
So many break up and start all over nowadays. Feelings of inadequacy and failure aren’t as common as they used to be. People live longer and accept relationships rarely last forever.
I’m a romantic at heart. I believe there’s someone for everyone. I love hearing about and meeting people who for some reason didn’t work out years ago yet found a way back to each other. True love conquers everything.
People rarely get the opportunity to reconnect and when they do it means they never really lost that special feeling and chemistry that attracted them to each other initially. Second chances are all the more bittersweet when sharing a history, good and bad times and sharing core values.
Of course, most people never get the chance to repair what went wrong in a relationship first time around.
Second chances could be anything from taking a leap of faith and doing what seemed impossible, and redefining life and having the courage to accept new challenges. Life gives us numerous opportunities to be the best version of ourselves, not someone else’s idea of who they think we ought to be.
Take a chance on what matters to you. You won’t regret it.
