Surviving And Thriving

I used to think everything that begins well ends well.

I like happy endings because I’m a romantic at heart.

My personal life belongs to me but just like everyone else I’ve dealt with setbacks and managed to move on.

Years ago I was very happy and contented and thought my life was the best it could be. But some things aren’t meant to last and no matter how much I tried to resolve a situation with someone I cared for, it was time to move on. And believe me, it was one of the toughest yet best decisions I ever made.

Everything I believed was true turned out different. I lost a way of living and loved ones simultaneously. If it wasn’t for my closest friends and family I wouldn’t have coped as well as I did during a difficult period of time.

Fast forward to who and where I am today. I survived and became much stronger, mentally and emotionally. I dared to set goals and challenge myself in a way I’d never dared before. Life turned out so much better than I could ever have imagined. My hardest time changed me and everything I believed for the better.

TRANSITIONS are necessary to move forward. It’s hard to give up on who and what we know. That familiar, feel good factor most people seek when life’s difficult and contrary to what we imagined.

Despite everything I can honestly say I’m much happier and fulfilled after what I went through.
The tough times taught me how resilient I am, how much I’ve got to be grateful for and that when one door shuts another opens. Life is full of surprises and new possibilities. Surviving hard times and trauma make us stronger and capable to deal with setbacks because we know our own strengths and weaknesses.

What makes you thrive? It could be anything, small or big. Dreams Are worthwhile. Life’s transient so make the most of it while it lasts. We only get one chance  to make it special.

With much love,
Hélene xx
