Autumn Prospects: Plenty of opportunities? I'll let you decide!

Autumn.jpg

Just like my late beloved Mother, I love Autumn.

A new trench coat, the prospect of new exciting challenges and plenty of opportunity to have a Fika (coffee break).

Summer's lovely but after the recent ongoing heatwave I can't wait to see how Autumn will turn out.

To me Autumn much more than January symbolises a new beginning, picking up from where I left things before the Summer break.

This year my focus is on editing my fourth novel and writing more blogs, newsletters and short stories.

Significantly, Connecting with YOU, my wonderful readers.

I'm also planning on reconnecting with old friends by organising regular get-togethers, pursuing special causes and events that are close to my heart, and having a few short breaks to inspire and motivate me to write more exciting novels.

Autumn is a new chapter in the annual calendar. It's the time of year when I stock up on fellow author's work and get the opportunity to sleep late at the weekend, have brunch in a lovely hotel with friends and invite people to dinner.

I love long conversations when it's dark outside, cosy surroundings and clothes. Wearing my favourite pyjamas, casual wear and enjoying treats, particularly hot cocoa with whipped cream and, you've guessed it, a cinnamon bun.

My gorgeous cat, Teddy, especially likes when the days get shorter as it gives him the chance to curl up on the sofa next to me and sleep. In Spring and Summer he's much too busy chasing butterflies and wasps and finding new places to hide!

Autumn is the prelude to Christmas, the festive season and long winter months. It's the perfect time to charge the batteries after the long Summer break and look ahead to new challenges and adventures.

How about you? Do you love Autumn as much as I do? Perhaps you prefer other seasons? I look forward to your comments!

Wishing all of you a fabulous end of Summer and brand new Autumn.

With much love,
Hélene xx
