Feng Shui for peace of mind

Feng Shui is great for decluttering home and work environments. But what about our peace of mind?

Every autumn I evaluate and plan ahead for coming months. Why you may ask?
Because it puts things into perspective and opens my mind up to new opportunities and challenges, what doesn’t work and what might work better, what to focus my energy on and not waste time on.

Feng Shui is all about harmony and balance and how important it is to be present in our lives. For me it’s not so much about the ancient Chinese philosophy but more about how well I connect with what happens in my life and the best way to achieve aims and feel part of what truly matters.
It’s the reason I no longer get involved with things that aren’t as important as they used to be, and engage with what’s close to my heart and make a difference to me and
the people that matter to me. Routines and habits are fine as long as they don’t take up too much time and energy for very little in return.

For authors, time is the most valuable asset because it’s our chance to practise and hone our craft. Just like everything in life, making time for the people and things we enjoy contribute to a fulfilled and happy life.

WASTING TIME AND ENERGY ON WHAT DOESN’T CONTRIBUTE TO A GOOD LIFE IS FUTILE

Life’s about quality; with the people we care about, work and interests. Too many
distractions without meaningful and deep connections complicate and interfere with what we really need and want. It’s good to have the opportunity to be part of many contexts, but not so good to feel overwhelmed and have no clear direction of what
matters and how to best achieve it.
Too many distractions frequently cause confusion and a sense of failure since we can’t live up to our own and others expectations all the time.

I’ve not yet practised Feng Shui in my home and work environment. Instead, my focus’s on my well-being and piece of mind. Waking up every morning, doing what excites and makes me happy is my way of ensuring I get the best out of life. Of course, I’m not exempt from dealing and being part of what doesn’t mean as much to me. Life’s a give and take balance and feeling less satisfied is important as it makes us appreciate what we’ve got even more.

How do You live the best life for you? I look forward to your comments.
With much love, Hélene
